In October 2006, artist Gale Hart opened a gallery in her downtown Sacramento studio, called A Bitchin’ Space.

The goal is to create a more connected, creative community – with A Bitchin’ Space as the outlet. The year-long project features rotating shows each month, with the focus on collaborative work by area artists.

Each artist will work on a piece in his or her studio then pass that canvas to one or two more artists to add to the work. By pairing similar or dissimilar artists the resulting works will behold unique harmonies and/or juxtapositions.
