Phoenix Gallery is in the hub of midtown, at 1801 L Street (on 18th between K & L streets). Established in 2001 and voted “Best of Sacramento” in 2002, 2003, 2004 and again in 2005 by SN&R readers, Phoenix Gallery has become the “happening” destination for the Second Saturday Art Walk. Always bustling with activity on Second Saturday, Phoenix Gallery showcases local area artists for each show. Gallery owner, Abundio Montez, strives to make the gallery unique by presenting something to please every palate, showing 2 dimensional, 3 dimensional, provocative and functional forms. You will find Sacramento area landscapes and landmarks, abstracts, realism, ceramic and metal sculptures, limited editions and poster prints.

Abundio is also an expert in custom frame design, creating finishes to enhance the art and the environment in which is hangs. Abundio has a passion for framing 3 dimensional objects and heirlooms.

Abundio has a strong interest in local area causes and donates his time, art and gallery in support. A few recipients of his support are the C.A.R.E.S. Luau, Capital City Aids Fund “A Night At The Oscars“, KVIE Art Auction and The Center For Community Health & Well-Being.
